A Family’s Tragedies

Your article about the Rivard family of La Porte, Tex., was most touching (“A Comforting Word to the Courageous” by Bonnie Jean Walton, May 13). How nice to see an indication of caring about someone else’s suffering. As a former Texan who has experienced “lightning striking more than once” in a family, my heart truly reached out to the family. Their plight surely tests the sanity of the very strongest and there never seems to be an answer to the eternal “why.”
While I offer my prayers, my hopes for Kathleen and Stephanie Rivard--it seems too little.
