Mexico: Try bird-watching in Baja on a nature tour

Isla Raza, Mexico’s first bird sanctuary, is the centerpiece of a six-day, five-night adventure offered by Baja AirVentures. Participants will stay at the isolated Las Animas Eco-Lodge on the Gulf of California, accessible only by a one-hour boat ride from Bahía de los Ángeles.
Mornings are spent bird-watching at Isla Raza and other nearby islands; afternoons are spent on additional nature tours or exploring on your own, fishing, snorkeling, sailing or relaxing.
Dates: April 28-May 2, May 4-9
Price: $2,395 per person, double occupancy. Includes yurt accommodations, meals, round-trip airfare from San Diego, guided excursions, kayaking and whale watching.
