Reporting from Las Vegas — Who? The Guess Who, or at least the former lead singer of the Canadian band comes to Las Vegas for a two-night show next month. Musician and songwriter Burton Cummings promises to perform his hits at The Orleans Showroom on May 9 and 10.
His hits under The Guess Who banner included “These Eyes,” “Laughing, No Time,” “American Woman,” “Share The Land” and “Hang On To Your Life.” The band was the first Canadian group to reach No. 1 on the Billboard charts, as well as the first to earn a platinum album for sales of more than one million copies in the United States.
In 1976, Cummings struck out on his own, earning a gold record for his debut single, “Stand Tall.” His solo hits include “I’m Scared,” “My Own Way to Rock” and “Timeless Love.” Cummings even performed as a member of Ringo Starr’s All-Starr Band and released his first live solo album “Massey Hall” in 2012.
