Reporting from Las Vegas — Drink in wine and Pablo Picasso’s artworks when the Bellagio Gallery of Fine Art combines the two during “Art & Wine: A Perfect Pairing” on the second Wednesday of each month.
The monthly event pairs wines from Bellagio’s cellar with artwork featured in the gallery’s current exhibition “Picasso: Creatures and Creativity.”
The evening includes an interactive conversation about wine and art. Jason Smith, Bellagio’s director of wine and master sommelier, and Tarissa Tiberti, the gallery’s executive director, walk guests through the exhibit, talking wine and art the whole time.
“Picasso: Creatures & Creativity” focuses on Picasso’s favorite theme, the human figure. The exhibition takes guests through the artist’s works on the human figure, unveiling his thoughts and the creative process behind his painting and printmaking.
Future “Art & Wine” dates for the “Picasso: Creatures and Creativity” event are Sept. 9, Oct. 14, Nov. 11 and Dec. 9 from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m.
Tickets for “Art & Wine” are $34 for gallery members and $42 for non-members.
Tickets: Bellagio Gallery of Fine Art, (702) 693-7871
