Las Vegas: Ex-Beatle heading to Sin City for only U.S. appearance

Tickets go on sale Friday for the Las Vegas performance -- this year’s only U.S. appearances -- by Ringo Starr and his All Starr Band. The former Beatle and his group of well-known musicians will perform Nov. 22 and 23, at the Pearl Concert Theater inside the Palms resort.
The Las Vegas dates will follow a 10-city Latin American tour by the reincarnated band. Besides Starr, it includes Gregg Bissonette; Steve Lukather, formerly of Toto; Richard Page of Mr. Mister; Mark Rivera; Gregg Rolie of Santana; and Todd Rundgren.
Ticket prices begin at $70, plus taxes and fees. They’ll be available starting at noon Friday through Ticketmaster, (800) 745-3000.
The Pearl Concert Theater can seat up to 2,500, but thanks to its design, the farthest seats from the stage are just 120 feet away. Skyboxes on both sides of the venue offer private bars, lounges and restrooms.
The just-announced show dates come on the heels of the release of a DVD, “Ringo at the Ryman.” It was recorded July 7 of last year, on Starr’s 72nd birthday, at Ryman Auditorium in Nashville.
