Las Vegas: Get out of the sun, learn about bodies – theirs and yours
- Share via
Southern Californians who get more exposure to the sun than they should may benefit from a sun-safety seminar Saturday at “Bodies … The Exhibition” at Las Vegas’ Luxor.
The long-running educational exhibit features actual preserved human bodies that help interpret their inner workings and wonders. Several types of cancer are among the diseases whose pathology is explained in everyday, nonscientific language.
Saturday’s presentation, which begins at 1 p.m. and lasts an hour, will feature Dr. Paul Michael, a medical oncologist at the Comprehensive Cancer Centers of Nevada. Michael, an expert in melanomas, will discuss how to protect skin from overexposure. Visitors will be able to ask questions.
The lecture is included in the price of admission: $32 for adults and $24 for children 4-12. Tickets are available online or at the Luxor box office.
Info: “Bodies …The Exhibition,” (702) 262-4000.
