LAX adds WiFi service

Los Angeles — Los Angeles International Airport officials and T-Mobile will announce today the debut of wireless Internet access service throughout nine terminals at Los Angeles International Airport. The service will be available throughout 3.8 million square feet of terminal space at LAX, from ticket counters to restaurants, boarding gates and baggage claim. The airport expects to make at least $4.8 million from the service over its three-year contract with T-Mobile. The service is free for T-Mobile subscribers. Others can purchase a 24-hour pass for $9.99, or pay $6 for the first hour and 10 cents a minute thereafter.
