Out of Africa comes this glimpse of lions snoozing in Zambia’s South Luangwa National Park, where Julie Lowrey of La Verne traveled in September with a friend. “We were looking for something that was true Africa,” Lowrey said. They saw the pride take down a buffalo and the feast that followed. “I was amazed at how close we got,” she said. She used a Nikon D50.
