Australia: Sydney tour includes opera tickets, cruise and koalas

Opera lovers will want to experience this five-day tour of Sydney that includes an Opera Australia outdoor performance of “Aida.”
The production is set on an enormous stage built over Sydney Harbour, with the audience enjoying waterfront seating and views of the Sydney Opera House and the Sydney Harbour Bridge in the background. A fireworks display features in each performance.
Also included are a guided tour of the opera house; a motor-yacht cruise of Sydney Harbour and a barbecue lunch; a Sydney hop-on, hop-off bus tour; and breakfast with the koalas in an Aussie bush habitat.
Dates: March 27-April 26 for “Aida,” or can book for another Opera Australia performance: “Turandot,” June 24-Aug. 28; “La Traviata,” July 3-22, “The Marriage of Figaro,” Aug. 6-29; “Anything Goes,” Sept. 6-30.
Price: From $995 per person, double occupancy. Includes four nights at the Shangri- La hotel, in deluxe room with opera house views. International airfare not included.
