USC recruiting: Quarterback K.J. Costello could commit soon

USC has missed on two top quarterbacks in the 2016 recruiting class, but the Trojans could be on the verge of receiving a commitment from another.
Santa Margarita High junior K.J. Costello said Sunday at the Nike Opening Regional in Los Angeles that he could make a decision soon between Michigan, Stanford and USC.
“After I wake up three or four days in a row with the same thought, I’ll make that decision,” said Costello, who attended USC’s spring practice Saturday.
USC also offered 2016 quarterbacks Shea Patterson of Shreveport, La., and Malik Henry, who transferred from Westlake High to IMG Academy in Florida.
Patterson committed to Mississippi, Henry to Florida State.
Stanford did not sign a quarterback in its 2015 recruiting class. Michigan and USC each signed two.
“I’m not going to not go to a school because of competition,” said Costello, who passed for 23 touchdowns, with 10 interceptions, during his junior season last fall.
