Stanley Johnson, a 6-foot-6 forward from Santa Ana Mater Dei High, is expected to announce Friday that he has chosen to attend Arizona over USC and Kentucky, according to two people with knowledge of Johnson’s recruitment.
Johnson, who is rated among the nation’s top 10 high school senior basketball players, averaged 19.4 points and 8.9 rebounds per game last season.
He is scheduled to make his decision public on ESPNU at 1 p.m. Friday, along with three other highly rated seniors: Jahlil Okafor, Tyus Jones and Cliff Alexander.
