Update: The Golden Bears had to replace four of their five starters, including Pac-10 player of the year Jerome Randle, from a team that won the regular-season conference title last season. What’s worse, California freshman shooting guard Gary Franklin Jr., a onetime USC commit, recently announced he was transferring. The Trojans can relate to that since Bryce Jones, a freshman shooting guard, initially said he’s transferring from USC, although a decision may not come until Sunday. These teams split the season series last season, with each winning at home. California has lost two straight.
