WWE Elimination Chamber results: Dean Ambrose wins the title, sort of

WWE held a special Elimination Chamber event Sunday exclusively on the WWE Network. Here’s a breakdown of the results:

Tag Team champs New Day vs. Kidd and Cesaro vs. Los Matadores vs. the Lucha Dragons vs. the Prime Time Players vs. the Ascension in the Elimination Chamber

It came down to the Prime Time Players vs. New Day as the last two teams, with the New Day winning after all three members pinned Titus O’Neil. To start, Ascension pinned Los Matadores and the Lucha Dragons. Cesaro and Kidd pinned the Ascension and the Prime Time Players pinned Cesaro and Kidd.

Divas champion Nikki Bella vs. Naomi vs. Paige for the Divas Title

Bella kept the title by pinning Naomi after the Rack Attack.

U.S. champion John Cena vs. Kevin Owens in a non-title match

A back-and-forth match with each man kicking out of the other’s finisher. Owens won by pinning Cena after the pop-up power bomb. Owens is a star in the making.

Bo Dallas vs. Neville

Neville won with the Red Arrow.

Dolph Ziggler vs. King Barrett vs. Sheamus vs. Ryback vs. R-Truth vs. Mark Henry for the vacant Intercontinental title

Henry was a sub for Rusev, who injured his ankle last week and could not participate. Ryback won after pinning Sheamus with a ShellShock. Former champion Daniel Bryan presented the belt to Ryback and raised his hand. Order of pins: R-Truth pinned Barrett, Ryback pinned R-Truth, Sheamus pinned Henry. Sheamus pinned Ziggler, Ryback pinned Sheamus.

WWE champion Seth Rollins vs. Dean Ambrose

The referee was knocked out when Rollins pulled him in the way while Ambrose was delivering an elbow off the top rope. With the ref out, Ambrose hit the Dirty Deeds on Rollins and had him pinned. A second ref ran out and counted the pin, and Ambrose was announced as the new champion. As the crowd was going crazy, the first ref revived and called off the decision, saying Rollins was disqualified for touching him. However, the title doesn’t change hands on a DQ, so Rollins retained. Ambrose then left with the belt, setting up tonight’s episode of “Monday Night Raw.”
