USC football: Su’a Cravens says he will be ready for Oregon State

USC safety Su’a Cravens, who suffered a groin injury in the Trojans’ 19-3 victory over Utah, said he would be ready to play in Friday’s game at Oregon State.

Cravens, a freshman, got his team-leading third interception just before the end of the second quarter and returned it 54 yards to the Utah nine-yard line.

“I cut back the first time and saw green grass,” Cravens said. “Everybody is college is fast, so you’re not going to score when you think you are.”

Cravens’ return set up a field goal by Andre Heidari.

Cravens was injured on the return and was forced to sit out the second half.

Cornerback Josh Shaw and freshman safety Leon McQuay III also intercepted passes for the Trojans.
