USC’s Nelson Agholor, who returned two punts for touchdowns against California, was selected Pac-12 Conference special teams player of the week, the conference announced Monday.
Agholor, a sophomore, scored on returns of 75 and 93 yards in the Trojans’ 62-28 victory over Cal at Memorial Stadium in Berkeley.
Agholor tied the school record for touchdowns scored on punt returns, which was set by Mike Garrett against Cal in 1965.
USC also scored a touchdown on a blocked punt, tying the NCAA record for punts returned for touchdowns in a game.
Agholor also caught four passes for 35 yards and finished with 215 all-purpose yards.
USC plays Stanford on Saturday at the Coliseum.
