Olympic officials deny another report about moving 2016 Summer Games

Yet another report has surfaced quoting unnamed sources who say that Olympic officials might shift the 2016 Summer Games away from troubled Rio de Janeiro.
Brazilian preparations for both the Olympics and the upcoming World Cup have suffered from construction delays, governmental disorganization and public unrest. On Monday, the Russian news agency RIA Novosti wrote that the International Olympic Committee has tabbed Moscow as an alternate site.
“I think the procedure will be like this: the IOC will wait for the results of the World Cup and how they will hold it, and will take a decision after, if no progress is made,” the Russian news service quoted an unnamed source as saying.
“It is a groundless rumor without any foundation at all,” IOC spokeswoman Emmanuelle Moreau said in an email.
Last week, the London Evening Standard reported that London was being considered as an emergency alternative.
