Forward Julius Randle was fined $15,000 by the NBA for his below-the-waist obscene gesture after scoring the winning basket in the Lakers’ overtime victory Wednesday against Miami.
Randle said he was a “little bit” surprised by the fine.
“I’m all right though. It ain’t a big deal,” Randle said. “It’s a big win, man. Having fun.”
Randle, 21, is earning $3.1 million this season. This is his first NBA fine.
The Lakers return to play at 6:30 p.m. Sunday when they host the Boston Celtics.
