Report: Denver Broncos’ Von Miller facing four-game suspension

The best team in the AFC could be losing its best defensive player for the first four games of the season.
Denver sack specialist Von Miller is facing a four-game suspension for violating NFL policy, according to ESPN’s Adam Schefter.
The report does not give a specific reason for the suspension, although the most common four-game suspensions are for violations of the league’s policy against performance-enhancing drugs. The report said Miller is appealing the penalty.
Miller, the No. 2 overall pick in 2011, had 18½ sacks for the Broncos last season.
If Miller were to be suspended, Denver would be without its two top pass rushers from last season for the NFL opener against Baltimore. Elvis Dumervil was released by Denver in the off-season and was picked up by the Ravens.
