It didn’t come easily, but Huntington Beach won its third consecutive Southern Section Division 1 volleyball championship on Saturday, pulling out a five-set match victory over scrappy Corona del Mar.
It was the 101st consecutive match victory for the Oilers, who received a big performance from their usual standout player, T.J. DeFalco.
Huntington Beach won, 22-25, 25-14, 25-22, 26-28, 15-8.
