Lawyers representing four private schools met with lawyers representing the Southern Southern and a mediator Tuesday in the first mediation attempt to settle federal lawsuits filed by St. Bonaventure, Oaks Christian, Damien and St. Lucy’s.
The schools are trying to prevent the Southern Section from sending them into the parochial area for new sports leagues beginning in 2014-15.
Southern Section spokesman Thom Simmons said he would have no comment.
