Girls’ tennis: Peninsula’s 61-match win streak is on the line
- Share via
Peninsula, ranked No. 1 in Southern Section Division 1 girls’ tennis, has a 61-match winning streak that will be on the line on Tuesday when it faces No. 5 Mira Costa.
Peninsula is led by UCLA-bound senior Ena Shibahara, a two-time individual champion. Peninsula has won 14 section titles, including the last two.
Mira Costa’s top player is an outstanding freshman player, Taylor Johnson. Mira Costa knocked off No. 2 Campbell Hall last week, so it’s probably No. 1 vs. No. 2 at Mira Costa.
