Girls’ basketball: Mater Dei, Brea win tournament titles

There was no stopping Katie Lou Samuelson of Santa Ana Mater Dei in Arizona.
She scored 36 points in helping the Monarchs win their Nike TOC tournament championship over Tennessee Blackman, 53-44, at Hamilton High in Chandler, Ariz., on Monday.
Mater Dei improved to 11-1.
Meanwhile, Brea Olinda (9-0) won its division of the Nike TOC with a 38-33 win over Windward.
