Football: Todd Therrien settles in at Thousand Oaks

Former St. Bonaventure head coach Todd Therrien is coaching defensive backs at Thousand Oaks, and Lancers Coach Mike Leibin couldn’t be more pleased.
“I think he’s a big addition,” Leibin said.
Leibin said Therrien will be doing some substitute teaching in the district besides helping coach football with the Lancers.
“Kids love him,” he said.
Leibin will be bouncing off ideas with Therrien, who helped St. Bonaventure become a Pac-5 power before the administration decided to make a coaching change during the summer.
Thousand Oaks opens the season on Friday against San Juan Hills.
Therrien was known for his innovative two-point conversion plays at St. Bonaventure.
Asked if he’s handed over some of his secrets, Leibin said, “We’ve got some stuff.”
