Football: Preliminary crowd figure for Coliseum attendance was 7,800
- Share via
The attendance for three City Section football games played on Saturday at the Coliseum was 7,800, Commissioner John Aguirre said Monday. That’s a preliminary figure.
The City Section was hoping for at least 6,000. The fact more showed up is a positive sign and could help the City Section play at the Coliseum again in 2015.
The City Section is also in the process of getting information to form new playoff divisions for 2015. Every two years, the divisions are revised.
Hamilton, the City Section Division II champion, could end up in Division I either by formula or the school asking to be elevated.
Narbonne, which started 18 of 22 underclassmen, will be the heavy favorite to repeat as Division I champions.
Attendance on Saturday at Angel Stadium for the Southern Section finals included 7,334 for the West Valley Division and 11,596 for the Pac-5.
