In watching seven on seven summer passing competitions, it’s clear the Mission League is going to be loaded with offensive weapons. Each of the seven teams will have plenty of firepower.
Bishop Amat has receivers Trevon Sidney and Tyler Vaughns. Gardena Serra has quarterback Khalil Tate. Chaminade has quarterback Dymond Lee and running back TJ Pledger. Loyola has quarterback Sean O’Malley and running back Drake Beasley. Crespi has running back Jalen Starks. Alemany has quarterback Brevin White and receiver Jarrin Pierce.
And on Wednesday, Sherman Oaks Notre Dame made its summer debut and showed off its share of weapons. Quarterback Cole Klayman is back from shoulder surgery and has a top target in receiver Max Weisman. Junior running back-defensive back Khalid Taylor will push returnee Leo Lambert III in the backfield.
It all means there’s going to be lots of points scored from Mission League teams this fall and the summer time is going to be filled with touchdowns.
