Football: Locke, Crenshaw players facing suspension after altercation
- Share via
Friday night’s Locke-Crenshaw football game was halted in the third quarter by officials after an altercation between players broke out near the Locke sideline, City Section Commissioner John Aguirre said Saturday morning. Crenshaw was leading, 42-6.
Officials reported that numerous players from Locke left the sideline during the altercation, in violation of City Section rules. It’s not the first time this season that Locke players have faced disciplinary action, Aguirre said.
Aguirre said one Crenshaw player was ejected and won’t be able to play in next week’s opening round of the playoffs.
