Football: Games switched on Friday because of LAUSD heat concerns

The Los Angeles Unified School District sent out a memo to schools on Thursday informing them that no outdoor sports competition will be allowed on Friday prior to 5 p.m. because of expected “elevated temperatures,” forcing changes to scheduled football games on Friday involving LAUSD teams.
The Arleta-Roosevelt game, scheduled for 3 p.m., has been moved to Monroe at 7 p.m.
The Narbonne-Palos Verdes game, scheduled for 3 p.m. at Palos Verdes, has been moved to Mira Costa at 7 p.m.
The L.A. Jordan at Los Angeles game, scheduled for 3 p.m., has been moved to 5 p.m. Los Angeles doesn’t have lights, so whenever it becomes too dark for the game to continue, the game will be ended.
The Crenshaw-Hamilton game has been moved from Hamilton to Crenshaw at 7:30 p.m. Jefferson will play at South Gate at 6 p.m.
