Football: Bishop Gorman’s Tony Sanchez is new head coach at UNLV
- Share via
From high school head coach to college head coach. Tony Sanchez of Las Vegas Bishop Gorman has pulled it off. UNLV has officially named him its new football coach.
Sanchez will be formally introduced at a news conference on Thursday.
Sanchez guided Bishop Gorman to an unbeaten season, including victories over Southern California teams St. John Bosco, Santa Margarita, Servite and Corona Centennial.
If he can bring along some players from his talent-laden Bishop Gorman team and even recruit some players from the opponents he faced, he’ll be in good shape.
