Cross country: Phillip Rocha, Garrett Reynolds lead qualifiers for Southern Section finals

The Southern Section cross country prelims were held on Saturday in Riverside, and Phillip Rocha of Arcadia had the fastest time at 14:44, with Garrett Reynolds of Ventura at 14:44.3.
Both should be ready to go for next Saturday’s finals at Mount San Antonio College. Ventura and Dana Hills won Division 1 team heats for boys.
Among the girls’ ranks, Chole Arriaga of Walnut ran 16:51. Great Oak and Dana Hills were heat winners in Division 1.
