Boys’ basketball: League showdowns continue
- Share via
It’s time for Compton to show if it’s ready to take charge of the Moore League race with a showdown road game against Long Beach Poly on Wednesday at 6:30 p.m.
Compton has been playing much better of late, almost knocking off Loyola a couple weeks ago. Robert Lewis has been the key player in the last two league games. Poly is very strong defensively and still has weapons, such as improving center Jordan Dallas.
In the Trinity League, top-ranked and unbeaten Santa Ana Mater Dei hosts St. John Bosco. It remains to be seen if there’s any team in Southern California that can beat the Monarchs this season.
In the Mission League, Chaminade is coming off its rout of Loyola and must show that game was no fluke. The Eagles host Harvard-Westlake.
In the South Coast League, 15-2 El Toro is at Mission Viejo.
