Boys’ basketball: Ajon Efferson is back at Pasadena trying to enjoy senior season
- Share via
Ajon Efferson knows how to win championships. He has picked up championship rings playing for three different high schools in three years _ Taft, Pasadena and Gardena Serra.
Now he’s back at his home-town school, Pasadena, trying to enjoy his senior year. He had 28 points on Friday night in a win over Muir, matching his season scoring average.
His movement from school to school over the last four years has raised concerns among some college recruiters, but Efferson said the moves were mostly for “personal reasons” and he’s glad to be back playing for the Bulldogs.
“It’s home,” he said. “I love the school.”
He said he has a 3.6 grade-point average and is trying to help his team compete for a Pacific League title.
