Baseball: Locals rally USA 15U team to 11-9 win over Cuba

Leave it up to the Southern California contingent to help the USA 15U national baseball team come back from a 9-5 deficit with six runs in the sixth inning to defeat Cuba, 11-9, at the COPABE Pan American Games on Thursday in Colombia.
Chase Strumpf, a sophomore from JSerra, hit his fourth home run in five games. He also had an RBI double during the six-run outburst, with all the runs scoring after two outs. Christian Moya from Bishop Amat had a two-run triple. Isaak Gutierrez from St. John Bosco had an RBI single.
Logan Pouelsen from Huntington Beach got the final out to make the USA team 5-0 in the tournament.
