Baseball: Aliso Niguel is ready to make Division 2 title run
- Share via
With seven starters back, including junior pitcher Kyle Molnar, a UCLA commit, Aliso Niguel is going to be one of the teams making a strong bid for a Southern Section Division 2 baseball championship this spring.
Molnar was the league MVP last season and should be better than ever. Adding to Aliso Niguel’s impressive returning cast are shortstop Justin Fowler, headed to Dartmouth, and all-league outfielder-pitcher Anthony Sommer, a UCSD commit.
Then there’s sophomore catcher Blake Sabol, a member of the gold-medal winning USA 15U national team. He’s 6 feet 3 and ready to make a big impact.
Junior third baseman Domenic Colacchio also figures to be a big weapon hitting wise.
