Brother of former Dodgers manager Tommy Lasorda killed in crash

Reporting from BOCA RATON — The brother of Hall of Fame baseball manager Tommy Lasorda was killed in a crash with a Boca Raton police officer’s unmarked car on Thursday night.
The crash happened on Military Trail near Potomac Road in Boca Raton.
According to a report from the Palm Beach County Sheriff’s office, Joseph Lasorda, at the wheel of a 2018 Toyota Camry, turned left into the path of a Chevy Traverse that had the green light.
Joseph Lasorda, 83, was taken to Delray Medical Center where he died.
Doug Immler, a sergeant with the Boca Raton Police Department, was driving the Chevy Traverse and suffered minor injuries. Immler, 30, was on duty at the time in his unmarked police vehicle, according to Boca Raton police.
