Track & Field: Sicard competes at Olympic Trials

Lloyd Sicard, who just completed his junior year at UC Irvine, will compete in the 110-meter high hurdles at the U.S. Olympic Track and Field Trials, beginning Friday at the University of Oregon.
Sicard, who finished seventh in his semifinal heat at the NCAA championships, is one of 24 comeptitors vying for three spots on Team USA for the Summer Games in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, beginning in August.
Sicard is in the fourth and final preliminary heat on Friday, with the top three finishers advancing to the semifinals, as well as the remaining six fastest qualifiers from all heats. The first preliminary heat is at 3:02 p.m.
The semifinals are Saturday, beginning at 4:25 p.m., with the final scheduled Saturday at 5:52 p.m.
Friday’s heats will be televised on NBC Sports Network. The semifinals on Saturday will begin on the NBC Sports app before going live on NBC for the final.
