UCI falls to Nevada

RENO, Nevada — Freshman guard Eyassu Worku scored a career-high 19 points and freshman forward Tommy Rutherford grabbed a career-best 14 rebounds, but the Wolf Pack won the nonconference game Wednesday night.

Worku was seven of 13 from the field, including three of five on three-pointers, for the Anteaters (5-7).

Senior center Ioannis Dimakopoulos added 14 points on seven-of-nine shooting, while senior guard Jaron Martin scored 10 points and tied his career-high with six assists. Sophomore forward Jonathan Galloway registered eight rebounds.

Nevada is 9-2.

UCI continues its string of five consecutive road games Monday night at New Mexico State.
