The host Sea Kings handed the Warriors, ranked No. 1 in Orange County, their first loss in a Pacific Coast League match Wednesday at Newport Beach Country Club.

CdM’s Clay Seeber, Guy Clauss and Ethan Wien were among the four medalists to card a nine-hole score of 36.

JohnMichael Jurgensen (38) and Zach Glabman (40) rounded out the scorers for the Sea Kings.

Newport Harbor 201, Fountain Valley 216

FOUNTAIN VALLEY — Drake Siegel shot one-over-par 37 to earn medalist honors and lead the Sailors in the Sunset League match Wednesday at Mile Square Golf Course.

Noah Mayne (39), Ryan Standt (40), Ethan Barns (41) and Richie Simons (44) also scored for Newport Harbor (4-2, 3-1 in league).

GIRLS’ LACROSSE

Corona del Mar 17, Woodbridge 3

Kennedy Mulvaney had five goals, seven assists and four ground balls for the Sea Kings in Wednesday’s Pacific Coast League game at CdM.

Jensen Coop, Ellery Amdor and Kennedy McGuinness each scored twice for CdM (12-1, 6-0 in league). Katie McCabe had a goal, two assists, a team-best four draw controls and four ground balls.

Ashley Olson made 10 saves for CdM, which plays host to Newport Harbor in the Battle of the Bay game on Saturday at 5 p.m.

Newport Harbor 9, Esperanza 3

Rylie Siegfried had three goals and an assist for the Sailors in Tuesday’s Century SE League game at Jim Scott Stadium.

Siegfried had nine draw controls for the Sailors (5-5, 3-0 in league), who controlled all 14 of the draws in the game overall. Sarah Farley, Katie Hendrix, Heather Roberts all scored second-half goals to help Newport after a 2-2 halftime tie.

Newport Harbor plays at Valencia on Thursday.

BOYS’ SWIMMING

Laguna Beach 102, Costa Mesa 62

Nick Ly won the 100-yard freestyle in 50.71 seconds for the Mustangs in Wednesday’s Orange Coast League meet.

Augustus Cunningham won the 500 free in 5:09.14 for Costa Mesa (2-1 in league).

Laguna Beach 130, Costa Mesa 39

The Mustangs fell to 2-1 in league after Wednesday’s Orange Coast League meet.

Costa Mesa had no individual first-place finishers.
