Sage Hill girls’ tennis team upsets Oxford Academy

CYPRESS — Jaclyn Gerschultz swept at No. 2 singles to help lead the Lightning to an Academy League upset Friday.

Oxford Academy (9-2, 0-1 in league) entered the match ranked No. 4 in CIF Southern Section Division 2. Sage Hill (4-3, 2-1) is not ranked.

Amira Tarsadia won two of three at No. 3 singles for the Lightning.

Tess Alexander and Marina Anderson won twice at No. 2 doubles, while Crystal Yu and Abby Ruck also won two out of three at No. 3 doubles for Sage Hill, which plays at Whitney on Tuesday.
