VU women’s soccer remains ranked No. 2

The Vanguard University women’s soccer team is ranked No. 2 in the NAIA coaches’ poll for the second straight week.
The Lions (5-0) moved up two spots and received four first-place votes to match the highest ranking in program history last week. The Lions were also ranked No. 2 last season.
Vanguard ranks among the top 10 nationally in major offensive categories.
Lindsey Wilson of Kentucky is ranked No. 1.
The Lions beat No. 17-ranked William Carey University, 3-2, in Orange Beach, Ala. on Friday.
Vanguard plays against Betheseda of California Friday at 2 p.m. at Santa Ana College
