High School Roundup: CdM girls’ volleyball wins Tartar Classic

The Corona del Mar girls’ volleyball team gave its season a shot in the arm on Saturday in winning the Tartar Classic at Torrance High.
CdM went 7-0 on the day, defeating Torrance (25-27, 25-11, 15-11), Torrance Bishop Montgomery (25-14, 22-25, 15-9) and Santa Monica (25-14, 25-13) in playoff matches to win the title.
The Sea Kings improved to 17-11 overall. CdM will begin Surf League action on Friday at Edison.
