High School Roundup: Edison girls’ soccer claims Aliso Cup

Junior Chloe Helenihi’s goal lifted the Edison High girls’ soccer team to a 1-0 win against Orange Lutheran in the Aliso Cup President’s Cup final at Aliso Niguel High on Monday.
The Chargers, who won four of their five matches in the tournament, play at Canyon on Dec. 21.

BOYS’ SOCCER
Corona del Mar 2, Tesoro 0: Senior goalkeeper Campbell Sheppard made four saves in the Sea Kings’ nonleague match at home on Monday.
Kyle Mabwa finished with a goal and an assist, and Max Rivas had a goal. Grant Glessing assisted on Mabwa’s goal.
CdM (4-1-1) plays host to Trabuco Hills on Wednesday at 3:15 p.m.
Segerstrom 2, Huntington Beach 1: The Oilers dropped to 3-7-1 after Monday’s nonleague contest on the road.
