High School Girls’ Basketball Roundup: Pacifica Christian makes strides in program’s second game

Pacifica Christian Orange County played Eastside Christian for the second straight game.
In the first girls’ basketball game in Pacifica Christian history, the Tritons scored just two points.
Pacifica Christian saw some success on the offensive end in Thursday’s 40-17 loss at home, as freshman Grace Cutrell knocked down a trio of three-pointers.
Sophomore Annika Bahnsen added eight points for the Tritons (0-2).
Pacifica Christian will travel to face La Verne Calvary Baptist on Wednesday.
Century 25, Laguna Beach 23
The Breakers’ 23 points marked their most this season, but Laguna Beach fell to Century in a pool-play game of the Hawk Holiday Classic at Liberty Christian High on Thursday.
Laguna Beach has dropped its first eight games.
