High School Roundup: Newport Harbor girls’ basketball improves to 3-0

Emma Fults had 10 points, 10 rebounds, four assists and two blocked shots to lead the Newport Harbor High girls’ basketball team to a 42-28 win over Ocean View in a nonleague game at home on Saturday.
Emma Coatsworth added eight points and seven rebounds. Chloe Swanson also had four points, six rebounds, two blocks and two steals, and Genevieve Perry handed out five assists.
Newport Harbor (3-0) plays at Costa Mesa on Monday at 6 p.m.
Edison 35, Santiago 30: Madi Copeland had 11 points and 11 rebounds for the Chargers in the Santiago tournament game Saturday.
Brooklyn Chang and Taylor Fullbright each scored six points for Edison (2-1).
Western 45, Estancia 23: Elisa Hernandez had four points and seven rebounds, but the Eagles lost their first game of the Santiago Tournament on Friday.
Melia Kenneth also scored six points for Estancia (1-1).
