College Roundup: UC Irvine men’s basketball loses at Texas Christian on late three-pointer

Collin Welp had a team-high 14 points off the bench for the UC Irvine men’s basketball team Thursday in a 59-58 nonconference loss at Texas Christian.
Eyassu Worku had 12 points and five assists for the Anteaters (3-3), who gave up a game-winning, three-pointer to TCU’s RJ Nembhard with four seconds remaining.
TCU improved to 4-0.
The Anteaters return to action with Sunday’s noon game against Detroit Mercy at Clark High in Las Vegas. The game is part of the MGM Resorts Main Event tournament.
