Federal agents helped Newport Beach police search offices in a building near John Wayne Airport on Tuesday, police said.
Police served a search warrant at 4500 Campus Drive as part of a white-collar crime investigation, NBPD spokeswoman Jennifer Manzella confirmed.
Manzella declined to say who occupied the offices or offer details of the investigation, but she confirmed that Newport Beach police led the operation.
Officers were still on the scene about 3 p.m., Manzella said.
Irvine police assisted in the operation, a spokeswoman for the department said.
Personnel from the FBI, U.S. Secret Service and Orange County district attorney’s office were also on the scene, according to an Orange County Register report.
