Area 1

North Coast Highway: A Costa Mesa man was arrested on suspicion of DUI at 5:30 p.m. Sunday.

Via Majorca: Grand theft was reported in the 1500 block at 5:30 p.m. Aug. 23. A person reported art valued at $9,000 was taken from their garage.

Area 2

Laguna Canyon Road: A Canadian man was arrested on suspicion of DUI in the 20600 block at 2:12 a.m. Tuesday.

Canyon Acres Drive: A person reported a tarantula in their home in the 200 block at 6:28 a.m. Saturday.

Area 3

Forest Avenue: A Washington man was arrested on suspicion of burglary in the 200 block at 12:10 p.m. Monday.

Ocean Avenue: A person reported they were “jumped” by six people at 12:50 a.m. Sunday.

Forest Avenue: A hit-and-run was reported in the 500 block at 7:15 p.m. Saturday. A man turned himself into the police and was arrested on suspicion of hit-and-run and on an outstanding warrant.

Area 4

Thalia Street: A Laguna Niguel man was arrested on suspicion of DUI and hit-and-run at 9:24 p.m. Wednesday. He had one prior DUI arrest.

Center Street: A person reported items stolen at 11:36 a.m. in the 300 block at Tuesday. A $25,000 loss was reported.

McAulay Place: A Lompoc man was arrested on suspicion of DUI at 8:31 p.m. Monday.

Mountain Road: A hit-and-run was reported at 5:27 p.m. Sunday. A Laguna Beach woman was arrested on suspicion of DUI.

South Coast Highway: “White powder” was reported in the hotel room of guests at the Surf and Sand Resort in the 1500 block at 11:23 p.m. Saturday. Officers arrived and found a small amount of cocaine. Three Long Beach men were arrested for suspicion of being under the influence and one had an additional possession charge.

Ocean Way: A wedding party was cited for not having a permit in Woods Cove at 3:20 p.m. Saturday.

Ocean Way: A Laguna Beach man was arrested on suspicion of DUI at 11:34 a.m. Saturday.

Sunset Terrace: A burglary was reported in the 100 block at 2:25 p.m. on Aug. 23. The person reported stolen jewelry valued at $7,000.

Area 5

Seventh Avenue: A drunk driver was reported at 10:35 a.m. Aug. 24. He reportedly hit the curb and was swerving, almost hitting a vehicle. An Indiana man was arrested on suspicion of DUI. He had one prior DUI arrest.
