Man arrested after reports that he damaged rental car

A Newport Beach man was arrested on suspicion of felony vandalism after he allegedly caused $5,000 worth of damage to his rental car, police said Tuesday.

Several people reported seeing Jack A. Cancellieri, 24, kicking a Chevrolet Impala at Bonita Creek Park about 10:30 p.m. Monday, said Newport Beach police spokeswoman Kathy Lowe.
