College foundation director honored at chamber awards

The Huntington Beach Chamber of Commerce named Golden West College employee Margie Bunten its Outstanding Citizen of the year at an annual luncheon Thursday.

Bunten, a Huntington resident for 36 years, is the director of the Golden West College Foundation and community relations. She has also served for six years with the city’s Marketing and Visitors Bureau and on a number of city and nonprofit boards.

Bunten and other recipients were honored at the SeaCliff Country Club during the chamber’s annual Business & Leadership Awards.

Among the other honorees were Heritage Memorial Services founder Dennis Gallagher, who won the Excellence in Leadership award; Dr. Kathy Warren of Warren Chiropractic, who was named Ambassador of the Year; and Janis Mantini of the Boeing Company and Domenic Iorfino of HB Digital, who were named Business Woman and Business Man of the Year.
