COSTA MESA — Residents who want to throw a block party on the Fourth of July must submit their applications to City Hall by June 20.
The applications are available online or by request at City Hall, 77 Fair Drive, and include rules and regulations for conducting a block party on the holiday. Applicants are required to show proof of insurance of liability for the event.
The block party is still limited to the Fourth of July, though this year the city is allowing fireworks to be set off in the two days leading up to it.
To get the application online, go to the city’s website, https://www.ci.costa-mesa.cau.us and click on the Fourth of July Block Party Application button. In-person requests for applications can be made at the chief executive’s office on the fifth floor. Requests can also be made by calling (714) 754-5327.
Applications can be mailed to the Chief Executive’s Officer’s office at 77 Fair Drive, P.O. Box 1200, Costa Mesa, CA 92628-1200.
