The Huntington Beach Police Department is expected to hold a sobriety check point on Pacific Coast Highway Saturday night.
Officers will check drivers for drinking or drug use starting at 9 p.m. at PCH and Huntington Street.
Check points are used to reduce the number of serious injuries and fatal collisions caused by drivers under the influence, officials said.
“The Huntington Beach Police Department believed that a combination of prevention and enforcement will save lives, making our community a better place to live and work,” according to release from the department.
